Mindful Based Stress Reduction for College Students - Free Offering - Limited space

This program can reduce stress, manage physical pain, decrease negative emotions, and create a healthier, happier mindset in 8-weeks with my Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program. It includes a one day retreat. Each class will be from 3:00pm-5:30pm. This offering is for college students only

About the Event

This particular offering is for college students only and is in collaberation with Dr. Dana Garfin a stress and trauma research scientist at UC Irvine.  Since we are offering this for free, we are requiring a current student ID.  MBSR is an evidence-based 8-week intensive class developed by Jon Kabat Zinn in 1979 and is now used in hundreds of hospitals across the country and many more around the world to support people dealing with chronic stress, depression, chronic pain, anxiety, and many other medical conditions.  A tremendous about of research has come out of universities like Harvard and Stanford are providing insight into how MBSR works to help change our brains in encouraging healthier coping habits.
